Install it, sign in, and let AutoFill handle Safari. Here's how, plus the shortcuts worth knowing.

Install and sign in

ZZPass for Mac needs macOS 14 or later.

  1. Download

Download ZZPass for Mac, open the file and drag ZZPass to Applications. It's signed and notarized by Apple, and keeps itself up to date.

  2. Sign in

Already use ZZPass on iPhone? Choose Log In and scan the QR code from Security → Devices on your iPhone, or type your email and Secret Key. Then enter your primary password.

  3. Turn on AutoFill

Open System Settings → General → AutoFill & Passwords and choose ZZPass. AutoFill guide

AutoFill in Safari

Click a username field, pick your login, and confirm with Touch ID or your password.

  • 2FA codes fill the same way on macOS 15 or later.
  • Passkeys work in Safari on macOS 14 or later.
  • Chrome and Firefox on a Mac may not offer ZZPass. Copy the password from ZZPass there; it clears from the clipboard after 60 seconds.

If something isn't right

My passwords aren't syncing with my iPhone.
Sign in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on both, in System Settings → Apple Account, and check you're online.
ZZPass doesn't appear in Chrome or Firefox.
On a Mac, those browsers may not offer passwords from ZZPass. ZZPass fills in Safari and in apps that use AutoFill; elsewhere, copy the password from ZZPass.
Is ZZPass in the Mac App Store?
No. Download it from zzpass.com. It's signed and notarized by Apple, checks for updates on its own, and ZZPass → Check for Updates… looks right away.
I only have a Mac. How do I get Premium?
Right in the Mac app: click View Plans at the bottom of the sidebar, or go to Settings → Account → Subscription. Premium is linked to your account, so your iPhone and iPad get it too.
I forgot my primary password.
On a Mac you're still signed in on, type a password on the lock screen. After one wrong try, click Recover Account? and use Touch ID to set a new one. Your printed Emergency Kit also has your primary password on it. Account recovery
