AutoFill

Sign in with a tap.

Turn on AutoFill once, and ZZPass fills your passwords, passkeys and 2FA codes in Safari and your apps. It takes about a minute.

Turn it on: iPhone and iPad

ZZPass shows an AutoFill reminder in its Settings until this is done. Tap it, then Settings, to jump straight there.

  1. Open AutoFill settings

In the Settings app, go to General → AutoFill & Passwords. On iOS 17 it's Passwords → Password Options.

  2. Choose ZZPass

Turn on ZZPass. Turn off Passwords too, unless you want suggestions from both.

  3. Try it

Open a sign-in page in Safari and tap the username field. Your login appears above the keyboard.

Turn it on: Mac

  1. Open System Settings → General → AutoFill & Passwords. On macOS 14 it's Passwords → Password Options.
  2. Turn on ZZPass, and turn off Passwords unless you want both.
  3. In Safari, click a username field and pick your login.

Other browsers on a Mac. ZZPass fills in Safari and in apps that use Apple's AutoFill. Chrome and Firefox on a Mac may not offer ZZPass, so copy your password from ZZPass there.

What it fills

One tap for the login, and the rest follows.

Passwords

Tap the field, pick the login

Your saved login appears above the keyboard. Several accounts for one site? They all show, so pick the one you want. Tap the key icon to search your whole vault.

2FA codes

The code comes too

On iOS 18 and macOS 15 or later, the code fills the same way when a site asks for it. On any version, ZZPass copies the code as it fills the password, so you just paste it. That's on by default; turn it off in Settings → Security → Copy Verification Code on AutoFill.

Passkeys

No password at all

Choose to sign in with a passkey and confirm with Face ID or Touch ID. When a site offers to create a passkey, you can save it straight into ZZPass. More about passkeys

New accounts

Strong password, saved for you

On iOS 26.2 or later, ZZPass can suggest a strong password when you sign up, and save the new login. On a Mac or older iOS, add it in ZZPass with + and use the generator.

When it asks for Face ID

If you've unlocked ZZPass within your Auto-Lock time, AutoFill fills straight away. After that it asks for Face ID, Touch ID or your primary password.

  • Auto-Lock is 1 minute to start with. Choose from 30 seconds to 10 minutes in Settings → Security.
  • Want to confirm every fill? Turn on Require Biometrics for Every AutoFill in the same place.
  • Face ID and Touch ID never leave your device. ZZPass only learns that you passed.

Why a fake site gets nothing

ZZPass offers a login only on the website it's saved for. Other addresses on the same site count too, so a login for example.com also works on login.example.com.

apple.com

Your Apple login is offered.

app1e.com

Nothing is offered. A lookalike address isn't the site you saved.

No suggestion?

On a page that looks familiar, check the address before you type anything. How ZZPass helps with phishing

If it doesn't show up

ZZPass doesn't show up when I tap a sign-in field.
Check that ZZPass is turned on in Settings → General → AutoFill & Passwords (on a Mac, System Settings → General → AutoFill & Passwords). Then open ZZPass once, so it can hand your logins to AutoFill, and reload the page.
I see two suggestions for every login.
Apple Passwords is still turned on next to ZZPass. Turn it off in AutoFill & Passwords if you only want ZZPass.
It suggests the wrong login, or none, for a site.
Open the login in ZZPass and check its website. If the site signs you in on a different domain, add that address as an extra website on the same login.
It works in Safari but not in an app.
The app has to support AutoFill, and a few don't. Open ZZPass, tap the login and copy the password. It clears from the clipboard after 60 seconds.
It asks for Face ID every time.
Check Settings → Security in ZZPass. Turn off Require Biometrics for Every AutoFill, or choose a longer Auto-Lock time.
ZZPass doesn't appear in Chrome or Firefox on my Mac.
On a Mac, those browsers may not offer passwords from ZZPass. Use Safari, or copy the password from ZZPass. On iPhone and iPad, Chrome and Firefox use AutoFill like any app.
