Just for fun: nothing you type here leaves this page. In ZZPass, it would stay sealed until the moment you pick.

Moments worth waiting for

What will you seal away?

Some words are better read later. A few ideas for your first one.

"Dear me, did you finally learn to bake bread?"

To my future self

IN 1 YEAR
"Happy 18th! I wrote this the week you learned to walk."

For their 18th birthday

ON THE DAY
"My guess: the cat takes over the sofa for good."

New Year predictions

SHARED · 31 DEC
"You did it. I always knew you would."

Open when you graduate

GRADUATION DAY
"Ten years. Read this one out loud to each other."

Ten years married

IN 10 YEARS
How it works

Three steps. One small ritual.

01 · WRITE

Say what you want to say.

A letter, a memory, a secret, or the practical details someone will need. Add photos or files if you like.

02 · CHOOSE THE MOMENT

Pick when it opens.

A date on the calendar, or a safety net that opens on its own. Until then it stays sealed and encrypted.

03 · SHARE, IF YOU LIKE

Keep it, or send it.

Keep it entirely to yourself, or share it with the people you choose.

The safety net

For “if anything happens to me.”

Instead of a date, let it open after a long silence. As long as you keep using ZZPass, it stays sealed. If you stop, it opens for the people you shared it with.

  • Pick the silence: 30 days up to 5 years
  • Nothing to remember, using ZZPass keeps it sealed
  • The people you chose get a notification when it opens
  • Leave the practical details: accounts, insurance, where the will is

The unlock

The moment arrives.
The message is theirs.

When a capsule comes due it opens with a small celebration, for the writer, the reader, or both. Recipients get a notification on their iPhone, iPad and Mac.

While they wait, they see the note you left on the outside.

Private by design

Sealed means sealed.

Unreadable until the moment

End-to-end encrypted on your device. Not even ZZPass can open a capsule early.

Opens even if your phone is gone

Shared capsules still open on time if your device is lost or replaced, and we still can't read them.

Recipients keep their own copy

A capsule you gave someone stays theirs, even if the group it came from is later removed.

Questions & answers

Before you seal it.

Is TimeCapsule free?
Yes. TimeCapsule is included on every plan, on iPhone, iPad and Mac, and you can seal as many capsules as you like.
Can I add photos or files?
Yes. Attach photos or files to any capsule. The free plan includes 5 attachments in total, and Premium makes them unlimited.
Do recipients need ZZPass?
Yes. They get it through a shared ZZPass group, and it stays theirs even if that group is later removed.
How does the safety net work?
You choose a period from 30 days to 5 years. Using ZZPass keeps the capsule sealed automatically, so there's nothing extra to remember. It opens only once that whole period has passed without activity, which is how people plan for "if something happens to me".
Can ZZPass read or open a capsule early?
No. It's encrypted on your device before it syncs. For a shared capsule we hold only a locked key and the opening time, so it opens on time even if your phone is gone, but we can't read it or open it early. How that works
Where are my capsules stored?
In your ZZPass vault, encrypted on your device and synced through your own iCloud account across your iPhone, iPad and Mac.
