Questions about switching.

How long does the import take?
Usually a minute or two. You see everything in a preview list first, and nothing imports until you tap Import.
Will I lose any data during import?
From 1Password's 1PUX file, everything comes across, and fields ZZPass has no place for are kept in the item's note. With CSV, you get passwords, usernames, URLs, notes and TOTP codes when the export includes them. Folders and custom fields don't come across, and attachments need 1PUX.
Can I import from multiple managers?
Yes. Import as many files as you want. ZZPass flags duplicates in the file and against your existing vault, so nothing ends up twice.
Is the exported file encrypted?
No. CSV and 1PUX files are plain files, so ZZPass warns you before writing a CSV and you should delete the file once you're done. On iOS and macOS 26, moving straight between apps avoids a file entirely.
Can I import passkeys?
Yes, on iOS 26 and macOS 26, when your current manager can hand them over with Apple's Credential Exchange. Other managers' export files, 1Password's included, don't carry passkeys. ZZPass's own 1PUX export does, so you can always take yours with you.
Can I select which items to import?
Yes. Every item is shown in a preview list with checkboxes. Untick what you don't want, or tap an item to edit or delete it, before you import.
What if I want to go back to my old manager?
Export from ZZPass to a CSV file anytime; most managers can import it. On iOS and macOS 26+, you can also transfer straight to another app with Apple's Credential Exchange.
