Keep what you love about Passwords. Bring the rest.

Your logins, passkeys and 2FA codes move across in a minute, and fill in exactly like before. Then there's room for everything else.

If something happens to you, Apple can't pass on your passwords.

With ZZPass, the people you trust get in after a wait you choose, from immediately to 30 days. If you're fine, you just say no.

Apple's Legacy Contact needs an access key and your death certificate, and even then it excludes "data stored in your iCloud Keychain (payment information, passwords, and passkeys)."

Apple Passwords as of iOS 26, from Apple Support and Apple's guide to shared password groups. Checked October 2026.

When Apple Passwords is enough.

It's a good app. Stay with it if this is you.

You only keep logins

No cards, passports or documents to look after, and no one who'd need them.

You use Windows

iCloud for Windows brings Apple Passwords to a PC. ZZPass is for iPhone, iPad and Mac.

You want a password's history

Apple keeps earlier versions of a password. ZZPass keeps the current one.

You want leak alerts

Apple warns when a password shows up in a data leak. ZZPass flags weak and reused ones.

Move over in a minute. Or run both.

iPhone lets you turn on more than one password app, so you can try ZZPass without giving anything up.

  1. Get ZZPass

Download it free and set up your vault. It syncs through your own iCloud.

  2. Bring your passwords

In Passwords on iOS 26, tap ⋯ then Export Data to Another App and pick ZZPass. Passkeys come too. On a Mac, export a CSV file and import it in ZZPass.

  3. Turn on AutoFill

In Settings, choose ZZPass for AutoFill. Your logins fill in like they always have.

FAQ

Quick answers.

Can I keep using Apple Passwords too?
Yes. iPhone, iPad and Mac let you turn on more than one password app for AutoFill, so you can use both while you decide.
Do my passkeys come across?
Yes, on iOS 26 and macOS 26. In Passwords, use Export Data to Another App and pick ZZPass, and your passwords, passkeys and 2FA codes move straight across with no file. A CSV export from a Mac carries passwords and 2FA codes, but not passkeys.
Is ZZPass as secure as Apple Passwords?
Both encrypt your passwords end to end and sync them through your iCloud. ZZPass encrypts your vault on your device with a key made from your primary password, so nobody at ZZPass can read it, and nobody can reset the password and get in.
What does Apple's Legacy Contact give my family?
Your photos, messages, notes and files, once they show Apple your death certificate and the access key. Apple says it excludes your passwords, passkeys and payment information. ZZPass Emergency Access gives the people you trust your vault after a wait you choose, and you can say no while you're still here.
What does Premium add?
Emergency Access, unlimited shared groups and attachments, and a printed Emergency Kit with all your passwords and notes. It's $2.99 a month or $29.99 a year, and one subscription covers up to six people through Family Sharing.
