Your passwords on paper, or in a file.
Print every password and note for the safe, or export your vault to move it or keep a copy offline. Both start with your primary password.
Print every password and note.
The full Emergency Kit puts your whole vault on paper, behind a first page that signs you back in.
- Open Security → Emergency Kit on iPhone or iPad, or Emergency Kit under Access on a Mac.
- Type your primary password.
- Under Type, choose ZZPass Emergency Kit.
- Tap Print, or ⌘P on a Mac. To keep a PDF, save it from the print dialog.
Each login prints with its website, username, password, 2FA secret and notes. Notes, cards, passports and other items print with their fields. Attachments and passkey keys don't print.

Export your vault.
Free on every plan. Take everything with you, in a format other apps read.
- On iPhone or iPad, open the Security tab, tap ⋯ and choose Export. On a Mac, choose File → Export…
- Type your primary password.
- Under Choose Export Type, pick a format.
- Tap Export Vault, then choose where to save the file, or which app to send to.
| Format | What it carries |
|---|---|
| Export to AppiOS 26 and macOS 26 | Passwords, passkeys, 2FA codes, notes and items, straight into another app. No file. |
| CSV file | Logins: title, website, username, password, notes and 2FA. Readable by almost any manager. |
| 1PUX file | Your whole vault, attachments and passkeys included, so it can restore ZZPass completely. |
Files aren't encrypted. Anyone who gets a CSV, or a ZZPass 1PUX with its passkeys, can read everything in it. ZZPass warns you before writing a CSV. Delete the file when you're done, and never email it.
Which one do I need?
Moving to another app
Export to App if both apps support it: passkeys come too and no file is left behind. Otherwise a CSV.
A copy you keep yourself
A 1PUX file holds everything and imports straight back into ZZPass. Keep it encrypted and offline.
Something to read without a device
